My Photography Passion: Sunsets

by Lukas Bruihler / Nov 05, 2012 / 0 comments

I have always been intrigued by sunrises and sunsets. Traveling around the world, I have had a chance to see many sunsets in different locations. Whenever I take a picture of one, I feel inspired to take more pictures. That is why I chose sunsets to be my photography passion project.

Sunsets are very interesting to me.

First, the colors. When the sun’s light goes through the atmosphere, it can make a wide range of colors, placed anywhere on the color wheel. I have seen yellow, red, green, blue, and anything in between.

The second reason I am fascinated by sunsets is because of the uniqueness.  Each and every sunset is different, and they are all amazing.  Even one sunset is always changing. When I take ten pictures in one minute of a single sunset, looking closely, they will all be different.

The third and best reason I like sunsets is the scenery. Even if the sunset looks the same as another, because of your surroundings, the two will look totally different. There are trees in this picture,

and a castle in this one.

After I take pictures, sometimes I edit them on iPhoto. It is fun, and sometimes I end up making some good versions. But first I copy them, and save an unedited version, so I can have the original.

Photographing sunrises and sunsets is fun for me, and I will always like taking pictures of them!
