The Social Media Syndicate has teamed up with Intrepid Travel specialists in small group tours, to raffle off a ‘trip of a lifetime’ to an exotic location.

The fundraising raffle will be held from 6 to 12 June, with the winner being randomly drawn and notified the following week.

Money raised will go towards the Syndicate's attempted 10,000 mile drive from London, England to Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, raising funds for the international children’s aid organisation, the Christina Noble Foundation. At the end of the rally the car will be donated to a local charity.

Syndicate member, Deb Corbeil says, "driving 10,000 miles is going to be a test of mental strength and willpower. Knowing that we will be gifting a car to a community in need makes the challenge incredibly worth it!”

As part of their commitment to protecting the environment, Intrepid Travel will be providing carbon offsets for the fuel of the car.

“We're eager to follow the journey from London to Mongolia and very happy to play a role in assisting in the fundraising efforts in an environmentally friendly way and what an experience this will be - exploring a road much less travelled!"

Mongol Rally

The Mongol Rally is an unscripted adventure from London to Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia. Since 2004, over £1.5 million has been raised for charity by the Mongol Rally.

Team member Sherry Ott added, "this trip is really about a convergence of things that are important to me – travel, giving back and challenge. With Intrepid Travel, we're able to offer that chance to a supporter as well."

Each team is asked to raise a minimum £1000 for charity at least £500 of which goes to the official Rally charity, the Christina Noble Children's Foundation. This money will make a massive difference to the lives of some of the poorest people in Mongolia.

About the Social Media Syndicate

The Social Media Syndicate comprises four individuals, all known personalities in the worldwide travel blogging community.

Sherry Ott from ottsworld.com said,
"We specifically chose a longer rally route through the ‘stans’ in order to get to places that traditionally get little coverage in the travel writing world. The goal of the rally is to not only to make it there and raise money for Mongolian charities along the way, but in general to promote understanding of that part of the world."

Rick Griffin from midliferoadshow.tv said,
"For me it all about stretching my personal boundaries and checking a lot of things off my bucket list. Knowing that the rally is all for a good cause, makes it that much better."
