When you’re looking for a luxurious family break away, finding the perfect destination is never easy. As nice as some places look in the brochure, sometimes reality can be a world away from your expectations.
It’s a tough time to be young; with high unemployment, high prices, and high debts, it can be a struggle to get by. But although we’re cutting back on some things, recent figures show that despite this difficult economic time, Brits see their holiday as a non-negotiable luxury.
Even in winter, national wildlife refuges hold pleasures for nature lovers. Look for surprises, too: ducks and geese in profusion, a furtive red fox darting past, animal prints stamped clearly in the ground, the creaking of trees in the cold.
