If there's one thing we're passionate about, it is this planet - and the people, cultures, animals, languages, books, food, amazing things on it. We are strong proponents of slow travel, of deep cultural immersion, of teaching and learning from places and others around us. For it is this glory (n., resplendent beauty or magnificence) - the glory of place, of difference, of people, of being diverse and at the same time, together - that inspires us. One of our common denominators is our humanity - another is our responsibility to this earth and all things on it.

We've long written of the importance of learning about where we are, and where we travel - whether it is in the Amazon rainforest, discussing pygmy marmosets or tenrecs, the economics and enviromental impact of Chinese split bottom pants, the issues of conservation in Madagascar, the importance of eco friendly travel, and the magic of turtle conservation. And, as you know from our extensive travel library here, these are just the tip of the iceberg.

We wanted to do more - more to educate ourselves and others, about conservation, eco travel, and ways to live and BE in the world, whilst protecting and saving it. We've joined up with a group of like-minded people (the Green 13!) - travelers and adventurers all - to expand our reach; to teach and learn and share about our precious planet. I am proud to be part of this green 13 - 13 travel sites that encompass a variety of talents, passions, and geographic areas - with a mission to promote and encourage sustainable travel, responsible ecotourism, and mindful living.

We LOVE being outside, learning about animals, the beauty of the earth, and the incredible diversity of people. Our group covers all kinds of travel - adventure, educational (waves hands!), culinary, family, nature, outdoors, and more. We've got over 500,000 page views a month, and over 4 million social media followers. Talk about the power of working together to effect change.

We work with brands and destinations to help change the world. We’re passionate about engaging and inspiring consumers to travel and live more sustainably and responsibly.
