Foreign Language Education, Assistant/Associate Professor The graduate
program in Foreign Language Education is seeking an active and
innovative colleague with a specialization in the application of
technology to second/foreign language teaching. Expertise in the role
of culture in second language learning and teaching and or second
language acquisition is also desirable. The successful candidate will
have an earned doctorate in Foreign Language Education, Applied
Linguistics, TESL/TEFL or related field and demonstrate expertise in
effective language teaching practices as well as an active research
agenda. We are particularly interested in applicants who have
experience teaching in language education/applied linguistics programs

Bilingual-Bicultural Education, Open Rank The Department of Curriculum
and Instruction is seeking applicants for a tenured/tenure track
position, open rank, in Bilingual/Bicultural Education for Fall,
2009.  Candidates must have an earned doctorate in bilingual/
bicultural education with a specialization in applied/linguistics/
English as a second language OR teaching the content areas (e.g.,
math, science, social studies). Candidates must also have a minimum of
three years of teaching experience and demonstrate the ability to
teach university courses in Spanish/English. Preference will be given
to individuals with expertise in mixed methods and/or quantitative
