CFP: Academic Programs in Latin America and the Caribbean

CALL FOR PAPERS

The Association of Academic Programs in Latin America and the Caribbean (AAPLAC) seeks proposals for papers and panels for its 21st Annual Conference, to be held in Managua, Nicaragua, 16-20 February 2010.

Suggestions for paper topics:

* Diversity in approaches to academics, experiential learning, and community based activities
* Responses by study abroad programs to economic, health and political crises
* Promoting student diversity and best practices in processing study abroad experiences with diverse student groups
* Expanding participation for students and faculty across academic disciplines in international study programs: the humanities, social sciences, sciences, professional schools, and technical schools

Please submit proposals for panels and/or abstracts of papers to Valerie Grimsley, AAPLAC President, at grimsleyv@central.edu.

Deadline for submissions of proposals for panels or abstracts is 1 December 2009.
