Assistant Professor of Reading and ESL

The University of North Texas College of Education seeks an individual
with an earned doctorate in an education field with an emphasis on
literacy and ESL to be hired at the rank of assistant Professor. The
person selected must have 3 years of teaching experience in reading or
ESL at the Early Childhood through 8th grade level. It is essential
that the individual have a clearly defined research agenda and
demonstrate evidence of a publication and grant activity and record of
teaching at the college level. Primary responsibilities include
teaching and undergraduate courses in both reading and ESL foundations
and methods; teaching graduate courses in reading and ESL theory and
research, publishing in peer-reviewed national journals and pursuing
outside funding. Service to the department and professional
organizations is expected at a level appropriate to junior faculty.
