I think every big city in the US (and some smaller ones, too) has some version of a British pub. Let's face it, we can really be Anglophiles at heart. We won our independence from the motherland in 1776, but we've never really abandoned our heritage.

I lived in Williamsburg, in Brooklyn, for 9 years of my life, and the hardest part about moving out of the neighborhood was missing the food. Each of these restaurants hold a special place in my heart, as I grew up in each one in some capacity.

If you've been to Ireland, you've probably flown into Shannon airport (the better to explore the west with, I say). It's a small, regional airport that is VERY easy to get in and out of - and very friendly people. It's in County Clare, Ireland.

I love hot dogs. We always search out great hot dog joints whenever we travel - there's such a variety that I never get bored!

The St. Cloud area of Minnesota is a regional center for commerce, county government (being the county seat of Stearns county), as well as the home of St. Cloud State University. Near St. Cloud are Waite Park, Sartell, Sauk Rapids as well as St. Joseph, which is the home of the College of St. Benedict, a Catholic liberal arts college for women and Collegeville, which is home to St. John's University, a Catholic liberal arts college for men.
