One of the great worries for guardians who travel with their pets is what would happen if their beloved dog or cat were to get lost. After all, whether traveling close to home or overseas, the new environment is completely foreign to the four-legged set.

Fashion-focused Americans, curious about what Greta Garbo, Marlene Dietrich, Grace Kelly, and Spanish royalty once wore, should put the Basque town of Getaria high on their list of must-see travel destinations.

Royal Palms Visitor Center is one of three visitor centers and is a good place to start. It has a helpful little museum with a movie. Kids can also get their Junior Ranger activities here.

Today I am writing up on my favorite island in Stockholm's archipelago as of yet, the island of Utö. Last year, I felt that I wanted to go a bit further out on the archipelago and not only an hour away, so my friends and I decided to take a three and a half hour ferry ride to the island of Utö! I was smitten the second I stepped off of the boat, I had an instantaneous feeling of happiness and excitement for the day ahead of me.
