Frommer’s Bermuda 2010 and Frommer’s Bahamas 2010

Easy-to-Use, Easy-to-Read and Get You Where You Want to Go

Out of all the gazillion guidebooks out there, Frommer’s books are the easiest to use. To start, the print is crisp and easy to read. Shouldn’t all books be like that? Frommer’s guides are organized well and the Table of Contents and Index take you quickly right where you need to go.

Each of these books, by Darwin Porter and Danforth Prince, begin with ultra colorful photographs that are sure to make you want to visit. The maps are fantastic and display crystal clear images of the islands. I like the way that the books get right into sharing what’s new in each destination as far as hotels, restaurants and activities. This is terrific for a traveler who longs to return to the islands, but is perhaps interested in trying something different. Following that you’ll get summaries of the best of each location – best beaches, views, historic sites, golf courses, family vacations and much more. This really helps you plan your vacation to make the most out of each destination.

The Second section of the books will then take you to each destination in depth. You’ll get a sense of the history, art and architecture, culture, lay of the land and more. Then you’ll discover in Section Three how to plan your trip. Important information about when to go, how to get around, costs, safety and health are all here.

In the Bermuda book, you’ll get a section with four different suggested itineraries, then separate sections about where to stay, dine, have fun in the sun, see the sights, shop and enjoy the nightlife. In the Bahamas book, the sections are organized by specific islands, giving you all the same info as listed above. There are fast facts in both books and resource listing to help you obtain even more information. Throughout both guides you’ll find small boxes with fun little facts, moments, finds, tips and more to highlight the best each destination has to offer. You’ll learn details about out-of-the way places that are sure to make your journey extra special.

With winter being as rough as it has been this year in the USA and other parts of the world, now is a great time to grab a copy of Frommer’s Bermuda 2010 and Frommer’s Bahamas 2010 and get out of town.
