The clanking of the sail ropes and metal pieces, the slap of the water against the hull, the groaning of ropes, the rustling of the canvas as you unwrap the unwieldy sail covers. The slap of feet, coming to and fro, storing gear and tying things down.

Friends calling to each other in the marina, laughing and joking, coming in or going out, taking turns.

The snap of the sail, catching the wind.

The seagulls, calling to each other, or perhaps to us, asking for a treat.

The clangs of the bells, tolling for awareness.

The wind, blowing; the splash of water breaking as dolphins breach and jump.

Voices, blown away on the wind, exclaiming how wonderful this is.

The quiet of a peaceful dawn, you're the first one out.
