Lash is an expat American who's been traveling the world solo since 1998. She loves immersing herself in nature, culture and the arts of countries she visits.

Prior to that, Lash lived in Kyoto, Japan from 1991-1997 teaching English in order to save money to travel the world.

Gina Granauro is an International Economics and Modern Language student at Georgia State University in Atlanta, Georgia. She enjoys learning about different cultures, exploring new places, and seeing the world in different perspectives. Her favorite destination she has visited is Istanbul, Turkey!

Kim Reiner is the PR coordinator of a nonprofit in Omaha, Neb., and a mother of two beautiful kids. She's spent more than 2 years abroad, studying in Spain, Mexico, Costa Rica, and Belgium. H.E. is a TCK [Third Culture Kid] (French/German) who grew up in Luxembourg. She got her BA in the USA and her MA in England.

It was a beautiful night, and the stars were burning bright and vivid. Fireworks exploded in the air, reflecting off the still water of the lake. The vibrant colors morphed from blue to red, then orange and yellow and purple. It was almost too much to take in at once. All the while, a fire was blazing, creating orange and yellow patterns that were as enticing to see as the fireworks.
