Travel with Joan Peterson, as she peels back the different layers of India for you. Wherever you are from, you will find something that touches your heart in India.

Culinary Tour to India

Southern India is very different from northern India in terms of the people, languages, food, culture, temples, clothes, and fashion. In practically every aspect it is impossible to miss that you have crossed the Vindhya mountain ranges and entered peninsular India. The region, divided into the four states of Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, and Kerala, has traditionally been somewhat detached from the rest of the country, mostly due to its geographical location. It has its own checkered history of dynasties and rulers that dates back two thousand years, and the signs of its conquests across southeast Asia can be found in countries such as Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, and Sri Lanka.
