I love hot dogs. We always search out great hot dog joints whenever we travel - there's such a variety that I never get bored.

One Stop Coney Shop

I've got a fantastic hot dog restaurant to share! Located in downtown Grand Rapids, Michigan, the One Stop Coney Shop has the best hot dogs in west Michigan, hands down. They have grilled Koegel's hot dogs, on a steamed bun. You can get one of 20 or so varieties, including both Detroit and Flint style coneys (the difference lies in the meat sauce). You can add Kraut, coleslaw, pickles, bbq sauce, and more. The names - and combinations - are fun.

I tried both the Detroit and Flint style coneys, while my wife got the Chili Cheese with cole slaw. Our daughter veered off the hot dog menu and went for a burger, made with fresh ground beef - delicious! She got the Alfredo, and for her, burgers will never be the same. We go back as often as we can, and recommend this place to everyone we know.

One Stop Coney Shop also has veggie burgers and salad and cole slaw, for those who prefer not to eat meat. Don't forget the hand-dipped malts and shakes.

The best part? Well, besides the coneys...were the Belgian fries. They were incredible, the best fries we've ever had. They come in a fun cone that facilitates easy sharing. Add to it the homemade ranch dressing (also the best we've ever had), and you've got one extremely satisfied (and full) family.

Family-run, the One Stop Coney Shop is a great foodie oasis that we'll be returning to again, and again. It was an extremely welcoming, friendly place with fantastic food.  We highly recommend the One Stop Coney Shop for the best hot dogs in Grand Rapids!
