Magical Ger - Gobi Desert, Mongolia

A lone Ger (nomadic family home) sits in the barren Gobi Desert.  No shade, no protection, just exposed.  Traveling through the Gobi Desert takes isolation to a whole new level.

One of the world's most fascinating festivals is occurring in Mongolia now.  Naadam is the competition of the 3 manly sports; horse racing, archery, and wrestling.  I was lucky enough to travel through Mongolia's Gobi Desert last year not only was able to capture the stunning, empty landscapes, but was also able to see and photograph Naadam celebrated in a small Gobi Desert Village.
