This fall, Mills Gallery launches the third edition of the WINN-WIN Emerging Artists Exhibition, an ambitious four-month professional artist development program that has become one of Central Florida's most significant investments in emerging creative talent.
Opening this season, WINN-WIN presents new work by Camila Gonzalez, Greyson Hertzendorf, Rese Lazo, Angelina Palmisano, and Bethany Skena, five artists selected not simply because of where they are today, but because of where they are headed.
Unlike a traditional exhibition, WINN-WIN is designed as a launchpad for artists to reach the next level. For four months, participating artists receive intensive professional development that prepares them for careers beyond the studio. They learn how to confidently present their work, speak with collectors, navigate media interviews, build relationships with galleries, and understand the realities of sustaining a career in today's rapidly evolving art world.
Since its inception, the exhibition has evolved into a gathering place where art intersects with leadership, business, education, and public life. Previous editions have welcomed civic leaders including Congressman Maxwell Frost, State Representative Johanna López, alongside collectors, entrepreneurs, educators, nonprofit executives, cultural organizations, and community advocates. These unlikely conversations have transformed the gallery into a meeting ground where creative ideas become relevant conversations and where emerging artists gain access to networks rarely available at the beginning of their careers.
Located in Orlando's Mills Gallery, the WINN-WIN contributes directly to the neighborhood's economic and cultural vitality by increasing visitor traffic, supporting surrounding restaurants and small businesses and strengthening Orlando's growing reputation as a destination for contemporary art.
At a time when many emerging artists struggle to find meaningful support, WINN-WIN offers something increasingly rare: sustained investment in the artists themselves rather than projects. The program is made possible through the generosity of Gail Winn, whose continued support honors the legacy of her late husband, Michael Winn. Their belief that emerging artists deserve mentorship and professional opportunity has grown into one of Central Florida's most distinctive cultural initiatives.
Developed by Executive Director and Curator Juan Pablo Santa Luna, in collaboration with Gallery Founder Boris Garbe and Gallery Administrator Ambar Santiago, the program reflects Mills Gallery's long-standing mission to strengthen Orlando's cultural ecosystem by empowering the next generation of artists.
This Exhibition will be on display in Mills Gallery from September 23rd to November 12th, 2026.
