Tips for Visiting El Salvador

Sink your toes into the warm sand of Punta Roca beach in El Salvador.  This cozy country located in Latin America provides a warm, welcoming vacation. This exotic country was voted as one of the top ten countries to visit in 2010 by Lonely Planet. Within this diverse region, you can enjoy the mountains, beaches, volcanoes, and the rain forest all in one trip.  El Salvador is ideal for the perfect vacation.

Gazing out into the distance of the city of San Salvador, you catch a glimpse of the city lights.  San Salvador has a number of shopping options.  Artisans markets are very popular, allowing tourists to collect hand-made memorabilia from the local, indigenous tribes. El Salvador is known for their Geotourist spin on the country. This geo-friendly country allows you to experience the geographical character and culture, instead of experiencing the hotel’s adventures.


 El Salvador

Located on the west side of El Salvador is Los Cobanós.  Los Cobanós is El Salvador’s first Natural Marine Protected area.  Providing an adventurous place to scuba dive, El Salvador has a bio-diverse habitat. Explore the picturesque shipwreck from the 19th century, or the vibrant coral reef located in Los Cobanós.

Travel back 1,400 years ago by visiting the Mayan Ruins in El Salvador.  Over 1,000 Mayan Ruins have been discovered in El Salvador.  Declared a World Heritage Site in 1993, Joya de Cerén is known as the most popular ancient site to visit in the country.  Joya de Cerén has many historical treasures to discover.  El Salvador has not completely bloomed with their tourism, so be one of the first to discover what El Salvador has to offer.
