While reading a bunch of short fictional stories called Spooky Campfire Tales, I realized that the author, S.E. Schlosser, picked the right words to describe these terrifying stories - spooky.

Spooky Campfire Tales is a bunch of creepy tales involving people being unaware that their life is about to change when they experience some eerie things.

Reading this book brought back some strange tales from the past I have heard from my friends, when we were sitting around a campfire eating s’mores and telling spooky stories until we all got goose bumps on our arms (or someone screamed, making everyone petrified).

Reading Spooky Campfire Tales made me want to scream and jump like my friends did. Whether it was the Tale of the Fifty-Cent Piece or the Tale of The Bloody Mary, they all made the hair on the back of my neck stand up, because they all made me want to scream in terror.

My favorite campfire tale was The Tale of the Hook.  I've heard this tale many times in many different ways, so it impressed me how many tales you can come up with that is about a hook scratching someone's car that will give your friends nightmares.

I recommend this book to anyone who is going to a friend's campfire or a party in a haunted house, so you can make the night something no one will ever forget.
