Focusing on Learner Language: Second Language Acquisition Basics for

Language and Culture in Sync: Teaching the Pragmatics of a Second
Language

The cost of each of the CARLA summer institutes is $350 if
registration is received by May 31, 2009 and $400 after that date.
University of Minnesota students who take the institutes for graduate-
level credit can pay a discounted fee of $150.  In addition, CARLA has
a limited number of waivers for University LCTL instructors. For
