Standards of Good Practice Workshop to be Offered in London

The Forum will offer its signature workshop, “An Introduction to the Forum's Standards of Good Practice for Education Abroad,” on Monday, December 7, 2009, 9:00am – Noon, at the Foundation for International Education (FIE), 114 Cromwell Road, London, U.K. The purpose of this workshop is to provide an overview of the Forum’s Standards of Good Practice for Education Abroad. It is ideally suited both for those unfamiliar with the Standards, as well as for colleagues who want to delve more deeply into how to use them for program development, assessment and improvement. The workshop will examine the philosophy and purpose of the Standards and their use as a tool for program assessment and improvement. Workshop activities will include an analysis of case studies that illustrate how the Standards are a useful tool for assessment and improvement of education abroad programs. The Standards are recognized as the definitive means for guiding education abroad programs.
