JOB TITLE:  Homestay Recruiting Specialist

START DATE: Sept. 1, 2009  (or as soon as position is filled)

LOCATION: Global Immersions, Inc., Belmont (CushingSquare area)

TYPE: Part-time position
 
GENERAL SUMMARY:
 
Ideal for someone at least 1-2 years of marketing, recruiting and/or networking experience. Flexible working hours.
 
The scope ofresponsibilities includes, but is not limited to the following:
 
·     Oversee homestay host recruitinginitiatives, projects and tasks;
·     Build sustainable relationships withcurrent and potential homestay hosts;
·     Develop quarterly recruiting strategies (4xyear) to ensure continuity and planning for future homestay needs;
·     Generate new hosts through creative andeffective outreach and marketing initiatives;
·     Track performance of recruiting initiatives;
·     Assist in creating marketing materialstargeted to current and potential hosts;
·     Attend home visits with HomestayCoordinator and explain homestay program services;
·     Communicate (e-mail and phone) withpotential hosts about homestay program;
·     Implement recruiting processes:communicating with potential hosts, reference checks, track and evaluateperformance of recruiting initiatives;
·     Provide weekly updates at staff meeting andto President as needed;
·     Provide the “public face” of organizationand program while on homestay visits or at events;
·     Assist with quarterly host event(conceptualization, coordination and attendance);
·     Manage recruiting intern;
·     Special projects as assigned
 
QUALIFICATIONS:
 
·     Experience in recruiting, marketing and/or networking
·     Ability to look at “big picture” without losing sight ofsmall details
·     Excellent project management skills
·     Strong interpersonal skills andability to work with a wide range of individuals
·      Strong oral and written communication skills
·      Self-directed and self-motivated
·     Ability to work in small business environment
·      Experience managing intern and/or team projects
·     Excellent organizational skills
·     Team player with a strong work ethic
·     PC literate (Microsoft Word,Excel and Access, PowerPoint)
·      Experience abroad  (living,study and/or work) a plus but not required                      
·      Bilingual preferred, but not required
·      Bachelor’s Degree and 1-2 years of work experience required
·      Car (required)
 
HOURS REQUIRED:
 
24 hours per week (3days preferred (M, W, F) or 5 hours per day.  A weekly consistent schedule required; some evening hours alsorequired for home visits; Competitive wage and benefits
