Head East or North From Santo Domingo

As soon as I've gone somewhere or perhaps even during the trip, I try to write something for Wandering Educators. That's because I have a condition called Travel Alzheimer's.  I can take a journey somewhere, snaps loads of photos, and then come back and forget where I've been. I'll look at the photos and say "Gee, those are nice" and I vaguely remember being there, but "where was it exactly?" Well...that's another story! This post involves photos I took I along the way on two separate trips, one East of Santo Domingo and the other North of Santo Domingo, in the Dominican Republic....I just wanted to share, anyway....

This is the Cotui Valley. Hey, I knew one! :)

I've caught myself on this one below. We were heading up north of Santo Domingo, taking in the view of what only the Caribbean can provide. When I saw this, I stopped, jumped out of the car, and took photos. (Should've noted where I was, though!:)

Below is an incredibly silly woman, unaware she is posing just like the trees behind her. Her hair could be made of palm fronds! This photo was taken on a beach somewhere....North...?

And last but not least, there are the birds. These are...some sort of Caribbean white water birds who like to have their pictures taken?

Well, that's all for now. On my next journey, I'll try to remember to write stuff down, or at least to take a memory aid or something...

Yours truly, wandering off...
