If you know me, you know that I LOVE water. My favorite body of water? Lake Michigan. There's something so timeless about the big lake. Huge waves, small lapping waves, kid playing, surfers, kiteboarders, swimmers - it is just lovely. And, no salt - just fresh, clear water.

Here are a few photos from a recent trip to Lake Michigan. The water is too cold to swim, now, and the air is so crisp that the colors seem to pop out even more. The beach was deserted.  These photos were taken up by our cottage, in Onekama, Michigan.

With few visitors on a windy day, the sand and wind conspire as great artists

The seagrasses turn golden in the fall, and in the sun

The crashing waves, the sun trying to warm us, the wind - a lovely time to shelter within the sand dunes and glory in nature.
