Perhaps the most magical of all nature's features, clouds are a gateway to dreaming. Remember when you were small, finding shapes in clouds, and then seeing them morph into something else within seconds? And then, if you're a parent, teaching that to your kids. It's a pastime I have spent hours in pursuit of, gazing at the sky, watching reflections, and marveling at the beauty of nature.

To that end, our Northern BC Editor, and extraordinary photographer Curtis Cunningham has released a new and remarkable ebook, entitled Cloudscapes. It is at once a photographic journey into nature, and an ode to looking, dreaming, gazing at the sky with wonder in your eyes. The colors, captures, reflections - pure visual joy.

We caught up with Curtis to find out more about Cloudscapes. Take a look...

What inspired you to write this book?

I look up in the sky and gaze with wonder at billions of drops of water vapor and their beauty. Different times of day year bring the added dimension of colour into play, and then the occasional wind swirls everything into playful wispy forms. I enjoy the challenge of turning something so simple into a piece of art.

What do you hope people take away from reading your book?

When you’re out walking, don’t forget to look up. Wonder awaits.
