In sunny NORTH QUEENSLAND don’t miss the Great Barrier Reef, one of life's must-dos and it's easily accessible from Queensland’s mainland coast at Airlie Beach or directly from the Whitsunday Islands.

Explore this lovely region is from the bow of a sailboat…cruise through the islands and drop anchor for a quick snorkel and fall asleep at night to the gentle rocking of the waves under a canopy of stars. Spend the day lazing on the pure white silica sands of magical  Whitehaven Beach or take in the 360° views at Hill Inlet, one of the world's most exquisite lookouts. If this isn’t enough see the reef from the cockpit of a seaplane. Paddle gracefully through the water in a sea kayak, follow bushwalking trails overlooking the Coral Sea or simply relax with a cocktail by the water.

The NORTHERN TERRITORY
is one of the most sparsely settled environments on the planet and where ancient woodlands meet sandy beaches and grand escarpments tower over lush billabongs. The Territory is the bushland home of wetlands, rainforests and thundering waterfalls and where the local Aboriginal people recognise six seasons. Take a tour down the Adelaide River and get a bird’s eye view of crocodile feeding time.

ALICE SPRINGS
is known for its quirky events such as the ASSA ABLOY Henley-on-Todd Regatta, the Camel Cup and the Alice Springs Beanie Festival. The MacDonnell Ranges run to the east and west of the town, and the ruggedly beautiful West MacDonnell National Park is home to many amazing natural attractions, such as Simpsons Gap, Standley Chasm, Ellery Creek Big Hole and Ormiston Gorge. The Alice Springs Desert Park is an excellent introduction to the flora, fauna and landscapes of Central Australia.

Get up early and travel to
ULURU
and to the sunrise viewing area. Watch the first rays of dawn set the Red Centre alight whilst enjoying a warming cup of tea or coffee. After the sun has risen you might like to take the Uluru Climb to the top of Ayer’s Rock. For those with a good level of fitness there is the opportunity to climb Uluru and be rewarded with spectacular panoramic views. It is not an easy climb and it is important to wear good walking shoes and take plenty of water. Alternatively, non-climbers can choose to take a peaceful stroll along the Mala Walk. The Mala Walk winds itself among the bloodwood trees alongside Uluru. It leads to the magnificent Kantju Gorge, a 90-metre drop that becomes an amazing sight when there is enough rain to create a waterfall.

View Aboriginal rock paintings and learn about the area as your Driver/Guide provides commentary about the numerous sacred areas and features to be found at Uluru. Visit the Uluru - Kata Tjuta Cultural Centre, where you can learn about Aboriginal culture and see Aboriginal arts and crafts, before returning to Ayers Rock Resort.
