Under the Sea: Journey of the Little Mermaid

In the middle of the Enchanted Forest portion of New Fantasyland in Disney World lies an adventure under the sea waiting to happen. Guests can board a pink clam shell and accompany Ariel on her exciting journey to become a human. The ride is very similar to other rides based on Disney movies, especially Epcot’s Finding Nemo, in the construct – you pile into a themed vehicle and join the beloved main character through an abbreviated version of the classic movie.

But it is very much its own adventure. The audioanimatronics, bright music, and lighting affects bring the story to life. This ride is particularly special for those little (or not so little) Ariel fans out there. The little mermaid finally has her own ride!

Dive beneath Prince Eric’s castle to become a part of the tale. On the way, wind through sand tunnels filled with washed up treasures and mischievous crabs taking part in interactive games. Fastpasses are available nearby Mickey’s Philharmagic.

You can also experience this in California’s Disneyland, as Ariel’s Undersea Adventure.
