The College, Internships, and Career Series is a list of interviews displaying the college-to-career lives of students and how they blossom into professionals.

We were a small party of complete strangers. Margaret and I are both in our sixties; Olaf, a septuagenarian from Finland had just arrived in Australia; and Russell an experienced cameleer, author and adventurer led the trek.

My favorite bumper sticker says, “YES, Some of US actually LIVE HERE” – an obvious and often-needed proclamation to the millions who visit Central Florida that the vacation they’re enjoying happens in a place that is ‘inhabited’ by reasonably normal Americans.  And since we LIVE HERE, those of us who like the theater OR like the circus OR enjoy

Montana: Big Sky Country, peppered with mountains, lakes, and as much of the great outdoors as you can breathe in. It’s our fourth largest state, and includes Glacier National Park, Little Bighorn Battlefield National Monument, and Yellowstone National Park.

White sun-washed sand stretches for miles, against a backdrop of brilliant aquamarine ocean. You might think this is the Caribbean, but the Gulf Coast shore of Florida has some incredibly beautiful beaches that can give Caribbean ones a run for their money.

As a Career Consultant who works with many students who’re interested in careers abroad, I receive so many requests from students who’re interested in a job that entails "some form of travel." One often overlooked career is in Foreign Service — a career designed to promote the peace and prosperity of citizens of the U.S.

By throwing grenades and shooting harpoons, whaling boats hope to hit whales enough to make a traumatic blow. Unfortunately when you’re on a swaying boat trying to hit a moving target, more often than not your aim won’t be exact, leaving the whales to die a slow agonizing death. Every year, nearly 2,000 whales are brutally murdered for commercial whaling.
