Travel photographers can have a number of different jobs.  Some travel photographers photograph exciting places for travel advertising, others for travel articles in newspapers/magazines.  Some also use the photographs for travel blogging websites/online journals.  Personally, this job interests me a lot as it’s the two things I enjoy most in life: travelling and photography.  Travel photography in newspapers/magazines for me looks to be the most exciting, as you get to share your experience, in photographs, for the world to see.

Having a lot of international experiences can be fascinating and incredibly useful.  There are so many different parts of travelling and, therefore, it’s a bit tricky without it.

I’m a grade 10 student taking a year off to travel abroad with my family, and I’m interested in hearing about someone with lots of international experience so I decided to ask several people I know that have wanderlust and travel.

With each new place you go, you can have a new start. Take my friend Johnny, for example. In all of his 65 years of life, he has had to start over many times, in nearly all of the places he has lived.

When you think of career paths that benefit from international experience, one that you usually won’t think of is the janitorial business. That’s because it doesn’t, really. But another career path you usually won’t think of is film.

Travelling around the world can be so adventurous. Getting to experience new cultures, lifestyles, and foods can allow your perception on a country to change. Taking a trip abroad can certainly have an impact on your life afterwards - for instance seeing the world differently or being more grateful for what you have. In the case of my teacher Miss Knight, she never thought that her travel experience to Eastern Europe would lead her to become the future Mrs. Croft.

This summer I did a lot of things, all of which I cannot tell you, because it would be too much. I will include as many highlights as possible, and will tell you a little about each of them.

First, a few days after school ended for us, we went to the part of Tara Canyon in Montenegro. Tara Canyon is the second deepest canyon in the world, only 500 meters shallower than the Grand Canyon. We spent two days there, the first one we went rafting, and the second day we went hiking to the highest point in the canyon.

It’s always easy to take a road trip or book a flight to a destination - but maybe consider now mixing and matching your travels. I’ve done this many times, and it’s brilliant.

Sitting on a plane or in a car can be really boring sometimes. If I got $1 for every time I’ve perched myself on a seat for 12 hours on a long haul flight or flattened my rear cemented into a car seat, I’d be able to buy a lifetime’s supply of chocolate with the proceeds. I kid you not.
