I’m always looking for unique ways to explore destinations I love. I remember reading a book in college (for fun, not for class), on cruising down the Seine on a houseboat. Now the drawback, as I remember, was dealing with the boat and all the details of living on it (cooking, showers, etc.).

Disneyland Paris is a must-see if you’re a Disney fan (and who isn’t?). There are two parks at Disneyland ParisDisneyland Park, and Walt Disney Studios Park. You will want at least one day for each park. If you have more than two days, spend the extra day(s) at Disneyland Park.  You can get tickets to Disneyland Paris, which can include transportation from Paris, shuttles, and free-roaming between the two parks.

It’s cold. Painfully cold. So cold, I begin to question the logic behind my thrill seeking madness. It’s these sort of crazy people that end up on the news, right? The headlines screaming American Found Frozen Between Tectonic Plates, Iceland. The water is only up to my ankles, and already, a string of eclectic language has escaped my lips. It’s now or never, though. The frozen body of a Hawaii teen was located in the chilly waters of Iceland… I double-check that my mask is on tight, dry suit valves are locked and closed.

A Teen’s Top Ten Things to do in Montenegro

by Anders Bruihler / Dec 16, 2012 / 0 comments

During the three years I lived in Montenegro, I discovered great places and activities in this hidden Mediterranean country.  I’ve compiled the top ten things to do, from my teen perspective.  This list includes skiing in the mountains, climbing a castle on the coast, ascending to the top of a mountain, and zipping along a ropes course.  Most of these things I did several times, and all of them were very fun.  I hope you enjoy my top ten!

Teaching Opportunities in Central and Eastern Europe

by Corey Sebens / Feb 27, 2011 / 0 comments

After studying in Central & Eastern Europe (CEE) twice during my college days (2 weeks in Warsaw, a semester in Budapest), I wanted nothing but to go back for another 5-10 months. When I found out I was on track to graduate a semester early and had 8 months before I had to start graduate school, I decided to start looking for opportunities to return to CEE.  I looked at placements and programs where I would be able to earn a stipend/salary and I was actually impressed that there were quite a few opportunities, but there was not one place that laid them out.

If Paris is your travel destination, sightseeing in Paris can definitely fit into a budget travel  itenerary. There are many things that I enjoy doing in Paris that I do not have to spend money on, or if I do it is on a cup of tea or a glass of wine. Some of my favorite activities are listed below.

Felices Fiestas in Sevilla

Sevillanos love tradition. Most are dedicated to keeping their beloved city as it always has been. Nevertheless, despite the tenacity of Sevillanos in retaining their traditions, even Sevilla, like all cultures and the places that embody them, is changing. In one of those amazing contradictions that I continually discover here, it is in the celebration of two very traditional holidays that this change is most apparent: Christmas and Three Kings’ Day.
