Monday 29th April

Arriving from Australia into Heathrow early on a Monday morning, my partner Alison and I recovered our luggage and made our way towards the immigration and customs areas. Though we should have been tired after a seven hour flight from Dubai preceded by an eleven hour flight from Australia, we were in fact elated and full of energy. We exited the Airbus A380, and made our way to the baggage collection area.

The resorts lining the Black Sea, legendary castles, mountains, wilderness, monasteries, and medieval art are just some of the reasons to visit Romania. However, the town of Buşteni, 130 kilometres north of the capital, Bucharest, may be somewhat off the beaten tourist trail and relatively unknown to most people.

There are 1.3 BILLION people in China.  Personal cars are a fairly recent addition to China's roads, and thankfully so! Even with the government-limited issuance of license plates through a monthly lottery, the roads are already congested with their inability to contain such an explosion in numbers and constantly needing repair, and air pollution hangs thick.
