In her book, she covers food and drink, music and entertainment, sports and recreation (did you know there is a place called  Mulberry Gap?), culture and history, and shopping and fashion (including where to get a 5c cup of coffee!). Each section is not only educational, but a treasure trove of suggestions from someone that knows their stuff.

Dig in and read the entire book, and then get your post-its out to mark where you want to go first. If you're anything like me, you'll have plenty to do on your journey.

Highly recommended!

We were lucky enough to chat with Warren and ask about her book, inspiration, joys and challenges, and more. Here's what she had to say...

Please tell us about your new book, 100 Things to Do in the North Georgia Mountains Before You Die.

100 Things to Do in North Georgia Mountains Before You Die is your go-to travel inspiration for what to see, do and experience while visiting this region. You’ll find recommendations for everything from great restaurants to outdoor recreation to fun shopping and so much more. It’s not meant to be a traditional guidebook. Instead, it’s meant to provide ideas of where to go, what to do and more when visiting the North Georgia Mountains.

What inspired you to write this book?

I never thought I’d write a book, but a writer friend was writing a book for the series, and as we talked about it, the more intriguing the idea became. I pitched the region to the publisher, and he loved it. I’ve lived in the North Georgia Mountains for more than 20 years, and I’ve never seen any type of travel guide for the region. I hope this fills that void, and readers find it useful during their visits.

What were the joys and challenges of researching and writing this book?

The joys were showcasing many of the tried-and-true favorites of the region as well as discovering new-to-me destinations and attractions.
The challenge was narrowing down the “things” to just 100!
