The Art of Traveling via Lego Stopmotion

I recently collaborated with the extremely talented Joel Keiter, owner of That’s Fine Studios, to create a short stop-motion animation film around traveling. Personally, I run Traveler's Films, another stop-motion channel on YouTube. Both of us are Brickfilmers - using Legos for our animations.

When asked if he’d like to work with me on this project, Joel jumped right in without hesitation. We burned through a couple of ideas before settling on the concept of a simple film about travelling. Since he was in Minnesota while I was in Michigan, we decided to shoot separately, combining the footage from both locations into a single video.

Although travelling can be for fun or for business, each trip is like a unique song; with an underlying beat of hectic planning, the sweeping swells of your drives and flights, and the occasional high chimes of the people you meet or the experiences you have along the way. While it’s impossible to capture all of this into a single Brickfilm, Joel and I did our best.

And so, without further ado, The Art of Traveling, brought to you by That's Fine Studios and Traveler's Films.
