Today I will talk about the top five dishes which are very famous in my home of Surat, India: Dhokla, Khandvi, Thepla, Jalebi-Fafda, and Sev Tameta nu saak. These dishes are so delicious; I love them. I love to cook, so I always try to make different types of dishes at home. These are very easy to make and very spicy. Today, I will share with you our traditional clothing. This traditional Punjabi suit is called Salwar, Kameez, and a Dupatta. Each piece of cloth plays a crucial role in my culture.
When I was in college at Michigan State University, we used to go to El Azteco Restaurant for our Sunday dinners, when the cafe was closed. El Az offered bean and cheese burritos at a fair price for a college student in the late 1980s: $1.50 each. Since I graduated many moons ago, they’ve moved to a better location – and I’m able to afford more than a bean and cheese burrito.
