Magic Sketch: A Fun Way to Bring Art on Your Travels
Do you know Magic Sketch? It's a low-tech drawing tablet that's light, has a long-lasting battery, and encourages creativity.
We received a review copy, and my nieces (ages 9 and 6) tested it. And tested it. And tested it. I kept getting texts from my sister, with photos. So, I hopped on a video chat and asked them what they loved about Magic Sketch, to share with our family travelers.
As usual, the girls were brimming with energy, and intent on showing me what they loved about Magic Sketch. And they drew for me, many states away, and shared this exuberant and joy-filled review:
* It's easy to use, but sometimes you can mess up a drawing since you can use your fingernails or you can sit on it by accident.
* You can draw with your fingerprints!
* There are stencils that come with it, and work great.
* The free draw is my favorite. There's no save function, or an ability to email, but you can take a photo if you want to save it.
* I like that when you're done and you want to be done for the day, that you can push the button and leave it and then go and come back - no need for juicing it up. There's no danger of leaving it on and the battery dying, because it has a little replaceable batteries, which is great. There's one button to draw a new drawing.
* I like that if I make a mistake,I hit a button and erase it. I like the colors - it draws in a rainbow, all different colors.
* We have to take turns! It's light, easy, and super fun to play with!!!
My sister noted that she loves the simplicity of it and uses it herself - and that the girls loved it from the moment they opened it. When they saw a commercial for it on tv the other day, the girls screamed and she ran in - they were so happy to see the Magic Sketch on tv! She also said that the Magic Sketch is especially easy for traveling in the car, or when there's just 10 minutes before dinner - so simple and easy to use to provide art but not have to get out stuff, paper, etc. There are also no worries about ads popping up or watching a video -- the Magic Sketch is back to basics, allowing for creative play through art.
