Travel Miracles

Miracles are incredible gifts from sources unknown that makes our lives, and travels, magical. Last week I posted “Orbs Abroad” regarding orbs in travel photos, but are any of those orbs spirits who look after us during our travels? Whether on vacation, traveling on business or visiting family and relatives, we can never have enough support, spiritual or otherwise, to assist us on our journeys.

In this episode: Miracle at St Maria degli Angeli (St. Mary of the Angels),  I had what I believe a small miracle inside this basilica in the town by the same name just downhill from Assisi, Italy. The basilica houses St Francis’ small chapel the Porziuncola, and the occasion was very spiritually uplifting: the transit mass for St Francis, honoring the saint’s feast day on October 5th.

For weeks I talked about my small miracle inside the St Maria degli Angeli, and it wasn’t until a few months later that I discovered something equally mysterious in one of the photos I took just outside the patio of the basilica following the mass. Although this photograph was discussed in last week’s segment “Orbs Abroad”, in this episode it’s all tied in together.

Was a miracle? A coincidence? You decide….and if you’ve had miraculous experiences on your travels, drop me a line and let me know: ARoadRetraveled [at] mac.com
