You’re Never Bored in New York City

New York City, one of the most famous cities in the world, is a great place to visit. There are so many things to do and see in New York City! Everywhere there is a shop, restaurant, or a sight to see. Here are the most popular places that tourists love to visit:

Shopping

Inside the Lego store, there are huge replicas of well-known scenes made out of Legos, such as King Kong on Empire State Building. Inside the Toys R Us store, there is a 60 foot Ferris wheel you can ride on. At the American Girl Doll store, the employees can help you find the perfect best friend…but get there early because there is a huge line stretching around the block.

Eating

The Hard Rock Café is a great place to dine for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. I recommend the grilled sirloin steak, and to hit the gift shop after you eat.

Holidays

During the holiday season, New York City is lit up in Christmas lights everywhere. Rockefeller Center has annual Christmas tree lightings and the tree is between 70 to 100 feet tall! After Christmas, some of the Christmas tree trunk is given to United States Equestrian Team in New Jersey, to be made into jumps.

Theatre

If you go to New York City, make sure to see a Broadway show. They are incredible and there are many choices of plays to see, such as The Lion King (which has been ongoing since 1997), or Chicago (which has been ongoing since 1996).

Sights

The best parts of New York City are legendary sights like Times Square, Central Park, the Empire State Building, and the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Times Square has a ton of stores, people, and it is where they drop the legendary ball during the New Year’s Eve countdown. In Central Park, there are many playgrounds, historic buildings, and amazing sceneries that are so fun to visit. The Empire State Building gives you the perfect view of the whole city. The Metropolitan Museum of Art contains fascinating exhibitions and collections of artwork that are truly breathtaking to see.
