St. Paul is a very different city from Minneapolis. Despite being right across the river from each other, they each shine in a unique way. Luckily for us, the food in both cities is stellar - lots of great choices for the foodie!  Here are a few of my hidden gem favorites:

Well, as you may have guessed from previous articles here on wanderingeducators.com, I am addicted to music festivals! I am always searching for them, wherever I go. I recently found out about the Telemark International Folk Music Festival, or Telemarkfestivalen, in Bo, Telemark, Norway, held each July. This music festival presents authentic folk music from around the world, and offers more than 200 concerts and performances, as well as workshops and classes for all ages.

I've been very lucky to attend the University of Minnesota, and meet the great folks at CARLA. I've helped at a CARLA Conference, and avidly read through yeras and years of their email newsletters. There is nothing more lovely than Scotland in the summer. And, if you're going to be in Scotland, there is a plethora of festivals to attend! Edinburgh, that wonderful city, is just packed with festivals in the summer.
